How can you reasonably object to a statue of a great iconic figure like Nelson Mandela?

The man is rightly one of the most revered men living.How can you reasonably object to a statue of a great iconic figure like Nelson Mandela?
I don't object! I imagine the people that do are probably racists.How can you reasonably object to a statue of a great iconic figure like Nelson Mandela?

Really? I fully support South African Independence and the ending of Apartheid but just what did Mandela do?





He did very little before being imprisoned and was only released to be a figurehead.





Just like Princess Diana most of what he is famous for is fantasy and wishful thinking.





Arch Bishop Tutu did far more along with many other both black and white. Mandela is a media invention and had almost nothing to do with Independence or the end of apartheid!!!
I don't object to his statue - but i do object to it being in the UK. He's a South African, and thats where his statue should be!

I'm not racist but what has he done for the UK? Can't see the point of having it over here. The money should have gone to his country.
