What Percent of the US Population is African American? How do they figure in the Bradley effect in Polls?

They are about 11.4% of the population. The ';Bradley Effect'; isn't impacted by African Americans. Supposedly, white voters tell pollsters that they are voting for the black person, but when they turn out to vote, they apparently vote for the other candidate. Of course, there is the other side of the coin, how many white people in places like North Carolina don't want to sound like they are voting outside of the GOP, so the topic is probably moot. The other thing is that according to the polls, only about a third of the white voters say they're voting for Obama. If that's true, then there really isn't a lot of room for the Bradley Effect to kick in. The other issue with the polls (aside from that 33% figure) is that voter turnout is historically low for the demographic groups voting for Obama - young, less affluent, hispanic, african american. We will have to see. What Percent of the US Population is African American? How do they figure in the Bradley effect in Polls?
The African American population in the United States is approximately 12.5% of the total, which is 300 million. I think the Bradley effect will have more of an effect on white supporters of Obama, who say they will support him to avoid sounding ';prejudiced'; or ';racist,'; but will actually end up voting McCain at the polls because they enjoy America's free market, non-socialist economy. What Percent of the US Population is African American? How do they figure in the Bradley effect in Polls?
about 12% are black. there are approximately 10 million black voters and blacks have never voted at more then 44%.. obama has 96% of the black vote so that gives him about 4 million votes or so.

the bradley effect can be as much as 8 points among non-black voters which far outweighs any advantage the black vote gives obama.
Around 12%.

And the Bradley effect is a myth.

About 13% of general population, less in registered voters. The so-called Bradley effect included all voters, not just blacks.
It is so funny that this evening on Yahoo there are lots of ';Bradley Effect'; questions.

Is something the matter with McCain's campaign?
About 20-25% but the Bradley effect is caused by white voters who claim to vote one way but vote the opposite when they get in the booth.
0%

We are ALL Americans! People can't claim citizenship of more than one country. Either we are African or American.

Obama is smarter than Bradley and Obama is Black%26amp;White.
who cares

not all of them are voting for Obama anyway.

I know many who are voting for McCain
Forget that Crap. McCain is going to slam sunk him in 08 and Palin will do the slam dunking in 2012 and 2016
