Can someone please help me to figure out what form I need to do for my state taxes?

I moved to Texas in June of last year. I am trying to do my own taxes this year and I have done the Federal taxes already. I need to do the State taxes and I'm not sure which form to print out. I was thinking it would be the 540NR since I'm not a California resident anymore, but not completly sure. I also don't know if I need to do two seperate forms for me and my husband because this year was the first time we filed jointly. Can someone please help me! I would really appreciate it....Thanks!Can someone please help me to figure out what form I need to do for my state taxes?
You'd be a partial year resident of CA if you lived there for part of the year. See http://www.ftb.ca.gov/individuals/frmSel鈥?/a> for information - it looks like in CA a part-year resident does use an NR form. Can someone please help me to figure out what form I need to do for my state taxes?
I suggest purchasing a commercially available tax filing program. It's worth the cost, and it can be deducted from (next year's) taxes, unless you purchased it last year. That's not sounding likely, but the deadline after the weekend, so there's still time.
TX doesn't have state taxes, so you don't have to worry about that. You need to file a part year CA. I don't know what state your husband is from, so I can't tell you how to file his state. Every state is diff. You can probaly file MFJ, but you need to find out what that state says first. You can go to a local

H%26amp;R Block to find out for sure.
