What is the mass of the meter stick shown in the figure if the mass on the left end is 5 kg?

There is a balanced ruler, elevated from the 25 cm mark of the ruler with a 5 kg mass hanging off the end at 0 cm. The ruler is completely balanced so what is the mass of the ruler? What is the mass of the meter stick shown in the figure if the mass on the left end is 5 kg?
Represent the mass (m) of the ruler as two segments.

1) from 0-25 cm is m/4 applied at 12.5 cm

2) from 25-100 cm is 3m/4 applied at (25 + 75/2 =) 62.5cm

Balance the sides using distances to the fulcrum (25 cm):

25cm * 5kg + 12.5cm * (m/4) = (62.5-25) * 3m/4

Solve for m = 5kg
