I have a small coffee shop called Steamin' Joes. I am wanting to develop my concept into a franchise. Can anyone recommend a franchise start up agency. I have called a few companies but some charges an arm,a leg, and a turso. While other seem a little more fairer. Needing to find a reputable company that will charge a fair price and get my coffee shop developed into a franchise. I welcome any advice and referrals.I am trying to figure out ';How to Franchise my Business';? Does anyone know of an agency that helps with this?
My friend used a franchise start up agency called Franchise ASAP. Their web address is http://howtofranchise.org . They opened up a Play and Stay child care franchise. They said Tom was amazing. He helpe them threw the whole franchise developing process and they have referred him to other people. I wish you luck in your adventure.I am trying to figure out ';How to Franchise my Business';? How to Franchise Your Business

Franchising your business has tremendous advantages, from a higher return on investment (ROI) to risk reduction and retention of capital. But before you begin the process of franchising your business, you must first determine if your concept and operating system are franchisable.

Basic tenants of franchisability include:

Credibility. A franchisor must be credible to prospective franchisees.

Uniqueness. Your business must have sufficient differentiation from other franchises either in terms of products and services, marketing, lower investment cost, or target market.

Straightforward operations. Your system and business model should be relatively easy for a new franchisee to learn in a short time frame.

Adaptability and demand. Your concept should adapt well to many locations and there should be sufficient demand for your products/services.

ROI. A franchised business should have enough profit after paying fees and royalties to earn an adequate return on investment.

Strength of management. Even the most successful company will falter without a strong management team in place.
It may be a tough time to start a franchise now. But who knows sometimes the best thing to do is go against the economic curve.I just wonder if Starbucks faltering if a coffee shop franchise start up would be wise. There are several companies that do help companies develop into a franchise. Francorp, Frannet, FranchiseASAP, and the site the other person mentioned http://howtofranchise.org looks reasonable.

The price varies greatly. Francorp can be very expensive but does a great job. I am not familar with Frannet. I am familar with Franchise ASAO and I believe they own the website how to franchise. They do a great job for a very reasonable price.

Be sure you ask for all fees involved. Ask them to do a free feasibility study is your business a franchiseable concept in todays economy. Most of these companies will tell you the truth. Good Luck whatever your decision is.
