Do you think we'll ever figure out how to live on other planets without the Sun's energy?

I heard that in a couple billion years, the Sun will enlarge and so will it's gravitational force. They say this gravitational force will suck in Mercury, Mars, and Earth, and will then implode or something....





Do you think that, in a couple billion years, we'll have figured out how to live on other planets, without the Sun if it did happen to implode?Do you think we'll ever figure out how to live on other planets without the Sun's energy?

The Sun will indeed enlarge, but the gravitational force will not change, as the mass of the Sun will not change.





It will grow in size to the orbit of Mars and, in the process, it will burn all the planets out to Mars.





It will eventually collapse as a dwarf star





As for your last question, how do you know we'll be around in a couple of billion years?





We can live on other planets now, it is just a question of money...
