How can i figure out my final grade in a class?

The grade is weighted. Homework is worth 10% and my average is 103.75%. Quizzes are worth 25% and my average is 95.1%. Tests are worth 55% and my average is 94.7%. The final is worth 10% of our grade which I haven't taken yet. I want to figure out what is the lowest possible grade I can get on the final to have no less than 90%. 95.1 * 0.25 = 23.775


94.7 * 0.55 = 52.085





10.375 + 23.775 + 52.085= 86.235

Your average cannot be that low if not of you graded catogories are below 86%. The person devided your ';average'; by 100 percent, but that 86 percent is only 90% of your grade not 100. Your average is actually 95.8% So you need about 37. 8 percent on your final to average 90%. Report Abuse

10*103.75 + 25*95.1 + 55*94.7 + 10x = 100*90


10x = 376.5


x = 37.65%
103.75*.1 (since that's 10%)


95.1*.25


94.7*.55


x*.1 (this x stands for what grade you think you'll have on your final)





Now add all these numbers together:


10.375+23.775+52.085+.1x=90 (you're setting it equal to 90 since that's what you want as your final grade)





Now combine all those numbers and solve for x. You should be able to do that. You can try out different values for your exam grade and see what your final grade will be.
