I want ones that wont fall apart, but i do want nice ones, you know what i mean?Okay well any help would be appreciated! How much is the average price for(figure)ice skates?
it depends on what your doing
for just recreational skating you should have to spend more than $100
those skates are ok for some lower levels but once you get into spins and jumps the skate are about $200-$500 and I got new skates a few years ago that are Harlicks and they were $800. Most of my friends wear S.P. terrys and they range anywhere from $500-$1,000.
:]How much is the average price for(figure)ice skates?
Nice skates can cost any wear from $90-$200. I just recently bought a pair of Jackson Freeslyes and I love them. They cost around $180. I think that Jacksons' are probably your best bet, and if you aren't planning to do anything too strenuous Jackson Classiques are very well made also, costing about $110. These were my first pair of skates and allowed me to do everything I needed. I would advise you to go to your local rink and ask someone what they would recommend for you in particular. Good luck finding the perfect pair!
Good quality (nice skates) recreational skates would cost around 50-100 dollars or more. Recreational skates are good for the skater that just goes to the ice rink just to skate. If you are taking lesson, just keep in mind you should get higher quality skates.
Dick Sporting Goods is a good place to buy recreational skates
Hope I helped!
Riedell White Ribbon, Yellow Ribbon, Red Ribbon, or Blue Ribbon skates would be good. They're cheap, though more common for recreational, occasional, or beginner skaters. If you want something a little nicer, I'm getting the Bronze Medallion 280's. They're around $200, and are good for (I think) USFSA Basic 1 - Freestyle 2.
Jackson Classiques are also good skates. :)
$85-$150 can get you decent skates. You have to shop around and see what you like. Depends on if you want to just skate or take lessons too...

How do you tell if a significant figure is absent or present?
I understand the Atlantic-Pacific rule...but how do you know if a number is absent or present? Thank you!How do you tell if a significant figure is absent or present?
if there is a point making the number part decimal then the number is present so you count from the pacific side. the number is absent if it is an integer with no point and then you count from the atlantic side. remember count from the first non-zero number. How do you tell if a significant figure is absent or present?
Well I assume this is a Chemistry question, a SigFIg has many rules

2001.00004 %26lt;--- this has 9 sig figs because there is a point and because the zeros are between 2 numbers google it foo

Can God disguise himself as a religious figure like Mary to someone?
I thought this sounded weird, but here is the story
A man nearly dies from electrocution. He see's a vision of what appears to him as the Virgin Mary which is sent to prepare for introduction to the supreme being. When he asks the apparation to reveal it's true self, it turns out to be God. He says he gets paralyzed with fear at first but is then comforted as he is introduced to the afterlife.
Do you think God could or would operate in this manner? Wouldn't that be an act of deviousness by God?Can God disguise himself as a religious figure like Mary to someone?
No, God doesn't operate like that but Satan does.
(2 Corinthians 11:14) And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light.
Also, it is not possible to see God and live.
Exodus 33:20 - And he added: “You are not able to see my face, because no man may see me and yet live.”
In conclusion, it is Satan and his demons that do things like that.
(Revelation 16:13-14) And I saw three unclean inspired expressions [that looked] like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the wild beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 They are, in fact, expressions inspired by demons and perform signs, and they go forth to the kings of the entire inhabited earth, to gather them together to the war of the great day of God the Almighty.
God only reveals himself through his word, The Bible. Can God disguise himself as a religious figure like Mary to someone?
Appearings as virgin Mary etc are nothing but DEMONS (2Cor 11.14) disguising themselves in an idolized one that they get any worshipping, etc. God doesn't disguise anything and his revelation is JESUS CHRIST (Col 1.15; 2.9; John 14.9, Hb 1.1; etc.)
No because God doesn't exist. It's impossible for imaginary beings to disguise themselves as any real thing.
No, anything that pulls your attention away from Jesus is from the evil one.
We entertain angels, unaware.
The devil is into disguises, not God!!
he just likes to play tricks on people - that god!! he really cracks me up!
sure, if he feels like it.
this is so stupid... the ONLY people who buy into these visions of mary are the same people who have no clue what the Bible says when Jesus Christ entered the world. God shrouded Himself in humanity, to take up our scars that He might heal them through death and resurrection. the final revelation to the world will be God's Son - in full glory. there is no need for a vision of mary. if it does not magnify the Lord Jesus Christ, it is from the enemy. he knows how to toy with our worship, he is so well veiled... glorification has been the devil's dream since time began, and he seeks it in us just as God does but for another reason. the devil is filled with himself while God is giving of Himself. satan isn't opposed to religion or visions or faith, they are his chief tools for distortion. how do you destroy truth? you cannot, you can only bury it in lies... for a time.

What is the magnitude of the angular momentum of the 650 rotating bar in the figure
http://i27.tinypic.com/2lm2mbb.jpgWhat is the magnitude of the angular momentum of the 650 rotating bar in the figure?
Angular momentum L = I蠅, where
I = the moment of inertia about the axis of rotation, which for a long thin uniform rod rotating about its center as depicted in the diagram would be 1/12m鈩撀? where m is the mass of the rod and 鈩?is its length. The mass of this particular rod is not given but the length of 2 meters is. The moment of inertia is therefore
I = 1/12m*2虏 = 1/3m kg*m虏
The angular momentum 蠅 = 2蟺f, where f is the frequency of rotation. If the angular momentum is to be in SI units, this frequency must be in revolutions per second. 120 rpm is 2 rev/s, so
蠅 = 2蟺 * 2 rev/s = 4蟺 s^(-1)
The angular momentum would therefore be
L = I蠅
= 1/3m * 4蟺
= 4/3蟺m kg*m虏/s, where m is the rod's mass in kg.
The direction of the angular momentum vector - pseudovector, actually - would be straight out of the diagram toward the viewer.
Edit: 650 g = 0.650 kg, so
L = 4/3蟺(0.650) kg*m虏/s

Who are the 45 million Americans without health insurance coverage, and, how does that figure?
There are approximately 300 million people in the U.S., and, many of us have all kinds of health insurance and excellent health care through providers on our plans, and, many of us are happy with what we have.
So,where does the statistic of 45 million Americans without health insurance coverage come from?Who are the 45 million Americans without health insurance coverage, and, how does that figure?
Well, there aren't 45 million AMERICANS without health insurance. It's roughly 42,000,000, and HALF of them are here illegally - so not Americans.
So, you're looking at 21,000,000 AMERICANS and legal residents, without healht insurance. Roughly half of THEM, are the very healthy 20-30 year olds, who are taking a chance, have access to coverage through work, but decline to take it because they want the extra $150 a month instead. The other half, are what happens when something happens to the first half - you're not healthy any more, and now no one will insure you.
The STATISTICS come from the US Census Bureau - but it's misquoted, because it's not just AMERICANS.Who are the 45 million Americans without health insurance coverage, and, how does that figure?
Being that this has been such a hotly debated issued for so long,I'm surprised that I didn't get more answers! The asker,auntfran8. Report Abuse
The question gets asked here about two to three times a week, in one form or another. People have to be very dedicated to answer the same questions over and over again!! Report Abuse
And my other numbers come from Consumers Report and Heritage Foundation. Report Abuse
The short answer is that the US census does, in their report
';Income, Poverty, and Health Insurance Coverage';
you can read the full report here.
http://www.census.gov/prod/2008pubs/p60-鈥?/a>
But you have to love people like mbrcatz who take a number from one source and then subtract a number from a different source because ';hey that suits my arguement, I'll use it';
Sorry, but you can't take an apple away from two oranges to get a bannana.
1) The last US census report shows that 45.657 million people had no health insurance.
2) The 21 million 'illegals' figure quoted by Mbrcatz doesn't come from the US census (most likely it's a Bear Sterns report, but who knows).
3) The US census figures say the number of of those who were 'not a citizen' (which includes 'illegals') is 10,231,000 (table 6 of the report).
Now it doesn't matter which is right or wrong (10m or 21m) you can't subtract a different sub-category estimate from 1 source away from a total-category estimate in another.
If the 21m is right then the uninsured number is actually 11m (21m-10m) higher at about 56m.
Either way you get an 'unisured citizen' number of about 35,000,000.
For pity's sake the report even states that over 34m of the 46m total were 'native born'...how can someone 'native born' be an immigrant, illegal or otherwise.
I hate the specious use of statistics (which are usually from some nutty fundamentalist website) to prove a political point.
As the other answer rightly says this does not include people who are 'underinsured' or have really poor coverage. So that total of 34m Americans is almost certainly understating the problem,
In fairness there will also be people who could easily afford (and get) heath cover and for whatever reason just don't buy it. Whether they should be regarded as 'uninsured' is doubtful, but so is the chance that they will out weigh those who want it but can't get/afford it.
~~These are people who have lost their jobs and aren't eligible for private health insurance because of not being able to afford the premiums, or have preexisting conditions.
Then you are assuming that everyone has great coverage. Truth is millions of Americans do have coverage, but the premiums are very high and the coverage very low because of high deductibles.
This is why the government wants to cover all people with a public health care option. It leaves others who have great insurance free to keep it, but still covers the ones who have unaffordable health insurance or none at all.
When 80 percent of bankruptcies are because of medical bills, I think it tells the whole story. No one seems to realize right now we are paying for uninsured through taxes and higher insurance cost anyway. It's also the reason that most companies resort to out of country business because they don't have to cover our high healthcare to those employees.~~
It comes from those of us without insurance.
The company I work for pays close to nothing into the insurance plan, so it would end up costing me around $275 extra out of every paycheck, and since I'm a recent graduate, I can't afford that. I don't get paid enough to even consider it. Finding a decent job is hard enough in this economy. I'm just thankful that I'm a healthy person, and I don't need any medications or regular doctors visits, otherwise I'd be flat broke. It's cheaper for me to pay out of pocket if anything comes up. Hopefully nothing major ever happens to me!
I think you'd be surprised at how many people don't have any health insurance. It's pretty common.va loan

What are some ideas for some stick figure jumping of a cliff?
I need some ideas about something funny when a stick figure jumps off a cliff trying to fly and fails everytime. I'm using Pivot Stick Animator btw. I need some ideas like he jumps on a trampoline and jumps off and rides a horse when jumping off, etc
thnx in advanceWhat are some ideas for some stick figure jumping of a cliff?
Straps wings to his arms
Straps on roller skates and Ties himself to a rocket, rocket comes untied and zooms off into oblivion but not before taking him far enough away from the cliff. --or it just explodes
Helium balloons and lawn chair. Goes out a little and then goes straight up, balloons start popping and he goes straight down
two words red...bull
Buys a case of magical potions but can't read the writing. Tries different ones until he finds one that flies. He flies out over the cliff still carrying the case. After a short while, the potion fades. He frantically grabs potions to drink, turning into all sorts of not useful animals as he falls.
Buys Mercury's Shoes, goes out over the cliff and then loses a shoe -- now he can only go in a tight circle (one wing per shoe). Tries to grab the shoe he lost, Loses his balance, flips upside-down, and falls out of his remaining shoe. The shoes get back together and fly off into the sunset. What are some ideas for some stick figure jumping of a cliff?
-After a few attempts he would get frustrated and he would just jump down only to land on another ledge, and then another and then another.
-He can jump with a glider and he finally starts flying. You can have the stick figure smile and as soon as it does an eagle rips a hole in the glider causing it to plummet down.
-A misfiring catapult
-Of course there's the good ol' umbrella that will turn inside out
-You can have him catch a couple of geese and try to use them to fly off but of course they won't be able to lift him after he jumps off

What makes the Buddha such a powerful figure in Buddhism?
What makes the Buddha such a powerful figure in Buddhism?
(other than he invented it!)
And why is the eight fold path so important? What makes the Buddha such a powerful figure in Buddhism?
What makes the Buddha such a powerful figure in Buddhism?
The teachings of the Buddha, the Dharma, are not something he invented. Instead, it is something that, like the Law of Gravity, must be discovered. In the Buddhist tradition, the Buddha is highly revered because he discovered the Dharma with no one to help him. The actual term for this is samma-sam-buddho (fully and self-awakened one) in Pali language.
The second reason why he is revered so greatly is that after he attained Nirvana, he lived an exemplary life. He did not crave anything, but just dwelt in peace. When someone needed his help, he went out of his way to help them. Read the story of Angulimala for example. He averted wars between neighboring tribes, helped a woman who had lost her son, and so on.
Because he had let go of his selfish, petty nature, he became the consummate altruist.
As to the Eightfold Path, and why it helps, allow me to quote from the Buddha's first sermon:
';And what is the middle way realized by the Tathagata [the Buddha] that 鈥?producing vision, producing knowledge 鈥?leads to calm, to direct knowledge, to self-awakening, to Unbinding? Precisely this Noble Eightfold Path: right view, right resolve, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration. This is the middle way realized by the Tathagata that 鈥?producing vision, producing knowledge 鈥?leads to calm, to direct knowledge, to self-awakening, to Unbinding.';

In short, the Eightfold Path is the essence of the Middle Way, and the Middle Way is the road away from the extremes of hedonism and self-mortification.
Hope that helps. What makes the Buddha such a powerful figure in Buddhism?
The Buddha's true name was Siddhartha Guatama. He was (and is) so important in Buddhism because he was the first Buddha (contrary to popular belief, he is not the only Buddha. Buddha means ';Enlightened One,'; so according to Buddhism, anyone who follows the Eightfold Path - which is intended to be a way to spiritually transcend the material world - can become enlightened, and therefore, a Buddha).
His wisdom!
He didn't invent anything, he realized the ultimate truth and laws and taught them accordingly. You can't invent truth and laws. Thus, he want you to realize the same truth.
His profound teaching are not found anywhere else, only in Buddhism. In addition, his total approach on a complete teaching including morality, equality, mindfulness and wisdom is unmatched (all other teachings are either biased or neglected some aspects). Most importantly, his teaching focused on human (us), you have total control over your future.
The eight fold path is important because it is the path towards enlightenment, liberating one from all sufferings.
The Buddha is a powerful image to me because he is human, just like me, and it means that I, as a human, have the potential to become as great as him.
The Eightfold Path ensures not only good living through moral precepts but supports the development of inner happiness and positive states of mind. And what do people want other than to be happy?
The greatness of the Buddha is not only his power but His compassion to people in the world. The Buddha Shakyamuni gave up his prince crown and became enlightened in order to spread his teaching to helps his disciples to reach Enlightenment.
Buddha Shakyamuni also told the prophecy about the udumbara flowers:

http://en.epochtimes.com/news/7-6-13/564鈥?/a>
The 'eight fold path' maybe important to certain sect in Buddhism. For example, a rediscovered Buddhist belief, Falun Gong holds that the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance as the highest standard.
Its teachings that he learned from life, not what he learned from other people, and everyone is invited.
';Learning from life is knowledge, learning from people is ignorance.';

The 'eight fold path' maybe important to certain sect in Buddhism. For example, a rediscovered Buddhist belief, Falun Gong holds that the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance as the highest standard.
Its teachings that he learned from life, not what he learned from other people, and everyone is invited.
';Learning from life is knowledge, learning from people is ignorance.';
For an art project, where would be a good place to put a lifesize 3d figure made out of packing tape?
This would be a full size human figure constucted by wrapping tape (sticky side out) then (sticky side back in) to create a life size human figure. But after I am done making it, where would be a good place to put it and in a position that represents him doing something interesting? I just can't think of any unique ideas. Some ideas are looking under a table, or scratching his head, or something like that. Thank you in advance! For an art project, where would be a good place to put a lifesize 3d figure made out of packing tape?
Look through this website, there are quite a number of examples of outdoor tape sculptures.

let them inspire you.
Hugging a tree, stealing a bike (include tape sculpture of big metal shears), making a handstand on an open umbrella, put one on the seat in your car if you have one, doing a self operation (e.g. cutting a heart shaped opening in it's breast...), constructing itself (in the position of adding tape to itself like the hand drawing itself, it will be better is e.g. half a leg is still incomplete and it's working on it). Tying shoe laces (put real shoes one and a real baseball cap). building a snowman if you still have snow. In a shopping cart. For an art project, where would be a good place to put a lifesize 3d figure made out of packing tape?
To make it more impressive, show in settings where scale is obvious, next to walls or setting on benches. I would put it where it would be looking longingly - out at sea, across a bridge, down a long road.
let it sit on the toilet bowl with the act of...you know.lol

What kind of exercises can I do to give the illusion of a more curvy figure?
I'm boy-shaped, and I was wondering if anyone had any good exercises that could make me a bit more curvy. Thanks! What kind of exercises can I do to give the illusion of a more curvy figure?
wear curvier clothes
try skirts, skinny or straight leg jeans to make your hips seem bigger
and tank tops
and sweaters - thin sweaters, baggy sweatshirts will make you look more guy like
and maybe doing a few thigh exercises and hip exercises to shape your mid section will help.
lay on your side and lift your leg up and then go back down, do that about 50 times on each side twice a day. and when that gets easy add 20 more each day. What kind of exercises can I do to give the illusion of a more curvy figure?
curvy? imo curves are fat lol.
If you want to be bigger you can eat more, but its no guarantee it will go into your hips,or breasts.there are some moves you can do..with that thing called the thigh master, its also good for firming your bust.idk if it makes anything bigger though.good luck.
do alot of leg exercises and squats, that should help
also try wearing high waisted clothes makes you look like you have curves
The best way would be to work on your waist. If your waist goes in more, it will make you seem curvier.
try the exercise where you use your arms to bring a big mac to your mouth and hold it there while you eat

What would make a really good outfit for a person with a petite curvy figure for 1rst day of high school?
Hi I am looking for a good outfit that I need for the first day of sophmore year in high school. I have a petite curvy figure and I cant find anything that would suit my style and my body. Help! I would really appreciate it :)What would make a really good outfit for a person with a petite curvy figure for 1rst day of high school?
What is your ';style';?
For your body, I would wear straight leg jeans, an a-line knee length skirt or bermuda shorts to balance curviness.
On top I would wear a wrap shirt, or a vest under a t-shirt to show off those curves! :) Or a jacket. Maybe something like this?

Hi!
I thought a lot about what you wrote, and I totally understand where you're coming from. I'm also petite %26amp; curvy, I'm 20yrs old and going into Junior Year of college. But I have some pretty good ideas for you if I do say so myself :)
I made this collage especially for you of 3 outfits I think you might like. You'll notice that the outfits don't have a lot of pattern (its hard to find patterns that look good on a petite figure, and if you do want pattern, the rule is the pattern has to be smaller than your fist.)
Another thing I did was I gave you delicate jewelery and tops that frame your face. This set looks really sophisticated, but completely follows all the latest Fall trends, (dark wash bootleg jeans, victorian themes, scarves, and peace jewelry)
http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/img-set/BQcD鈥?/a>
These three outfits will last you the whole first week of school! Pick your favorite of the three for the first day, (I recommend the middle one because it's ';safest';) and wear the other two the rest of the week to keep the style going!
I really hope you like my ideas and pick me for best answer! Please tell me what you think!

It is probably good just to get a complete explanation of it from just Wilipedia or an encyclopedia. It might sink in more if you read a little detail from one of these sources. Good luck...believe it or not chemistry is rather fun
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ionization_鈥?/a>Also can someone please explain how to figure ionization energies of atoms? What is ionization?
Ionization is the addition or removal of an electron from a element. For example potassium K, can ionize to K+ after losing an electron.
Ionization energy is the energy required to remove one electron from an element. There are also second, third, etc ionization energies for removal of more electrons. In general, elements on the bottom left have the lowest ionization energies. Thus ionization energies increase across a row as more protons are added (outweighs the effect of the addition of another electron due to shielding) and up a group as there is much less e- shielding with less electrons.
Ionization energy is the energy required to remove the outermost electron of an atom. 2nd ionization energy would be energy required to remove the 2nd outermost electron and so on.

Don't ask me. Maybe it's because they're all Tories or something.
Everyone knows that Mandy will glide New Labour to yet another victory at the polls come 2010.
People don't believe that are off their skulls.
Look how easily and skillfully Mandy dealt with a sprog Tory troublemaker!
You know what they say. If you don't like the heat in the kitchen, get out.
Mandy is doing a boody good job.
The man resigned from politics twice due to (unproven) allegations of sleaze. Even without that, the man is a slimeball, I hate him and would never trust him. Ever.
Did I mention that he is a untrustworthy slimeball?

He appears to be corrupt and gets away with it, he was elevated to the peerage for no reason anyone can fathom, has a particularly smarmy public persona and seems less than manly.
Would recommend you researched his past dealings, you may then look upon him in a different light.
Mandelson is slime.
Cause he is a sleazy piece of slimy shite.
you shouldn't miss the point that he is still in mainstream politics, truly a master of the dark arts
Shouldn't this be on the British version of Y/A

Cindy -- Unfortunately, you don't have a lot of control over your shape.
All you can control is how toned you are.
Focus on doing the right things rather than the results you are targeting.
Eat healthy (veggies without a lot of dressing, lots of fruits, etc) without a lot of seconds (but don't starve yourself) and most of all exercise.
Walk 3 x a week for 30 to 45 minutes each time.
easy, don't eat (LOL!!!!)

In highschool girls fastpitch how do you figure the average for errors in defense?
If one player had 5 errors out of 20 plays and another had 5 errors out of 13 plays how do you figure those averages and which one is the best?In highschool girls fastpitch how do you figure the average for errors in defense?
You can't say based on those numbers alone. A player with more range might be able to get more plays, which may result in some errors. A worse player may not even get to a ball and thus won't get counted as a play. If every one of those players were routine, then you can save the player with 5 errors out of 20 is better, but you need visual evidence to truly determine the better defender. In highschool girls fastpitch how do you figure the average for errors in defense?
Here is how to compute fielding averages:
Fielding average, divide the total putouts and assists by the total of putouts, assists and errors;
It's the same for softball and baseball.

What are some legitimate debt consolidation in fl. laid off work and trying to figure out bills?
does anybody know about the protection on cc that they try to talk you into getting. will this affect credit rating... just trying to figure out what to do until i find work without getting evicted. What are some legitimate debt consolidation in fl. laid off work and trying to figure out bills?
Please do not consolidate. It is not free, they will lower your payments by increasing the length of time until you are debt free, and you will take a hit on your credit score. There is a better way.
A. Have a garage sale and sell anything that you no longer need or want.
B.Get a temporary part time job, if you have one, get another.
Here is a plan that can help you. If you work the plan, the plan will work for you:
1. Make a budget. Make the budget a week before you get paid. A budget is not a punishment! It is a tool which will free you from ever having to worry about money again. Put everything in your budget. Especially those annual, biannual, or quarterly bills like car registration, insurance, etc. Give every dollar you are going to bring home the name of where it is going. Add an ';emergency fund'; category to your budget for 25 dollars and save up until you have 1000-1250 dollars. Your emergency fund will help keep you from getting into new debt because of an emergency. If you can, set up a direct transfer to a savings account for your emergency fund. That way it moves automatically and you don't even have to worry about it. You must cut your spending and live on less than you make.
2.First get current on all of you debts and make no more late payments. Stop using your credit cards immediately. Do not take on any more debt. Credit cards are like quicksand only the death is much slower. Make a list of all of your debts in order of highest interest rate to lowest interest. Use cash only for your spending from now on.
3.Pay the minimum due on all of your debts and then put your extra money towards paying off the highest interest one first. After you get that one paid off, you put the money you were paying on debt #1 (the minimum payment and the extra payment) towards debt #2. That will pay debt #2 off faster. When that is paid off, you put all three payments towards card #3 and that one will be paid off pretty quickly. As an example:
To start :
Debt #1 (highest interest): minimum payment+ extra payment
Debt #2 (middle interest): minimum payment
Debt #3(lowest interest): minimum payment
Debt #1: paid off
Debt #2: minimum payment from Debt #1+ Minimum payment from Debt #2 +extra payment
Debt #3: minimum payment
Debt #1: paid off
Debt #2: paid off
Debt #3:Mimimum payment from card #1+ minimum payment from Debt #2+ minimum payment from Debt #3+ extra payment.
That way, you will get them all paid off, on time, and pay the least interest. It will also help towards rebuilding your credit since you will no longer have any late payments. This works no matter how many different debts you may have.
4. After you get all of your debts paid off, add to your emergency fund until you have 6-12 months of income saved up. Put that emergency fund money into a liquid money market fund or into a Bank of America no-risk CD so that if you need the money you can take it out without penalty.
5a. When you have your emergency fund in place, add a category for ';fun'; to your budget. Save for a holiday, a vacation, a big screen, or dinners out, whatever goal you want. Remember to enjoy your life.
5b. When you have your emergency fund in place, start saving for your retirement. Join the 401(k) plan at work and contribute the maximum. Your employer probably matches at least part of your contribution so why give up free money? Open a Roth IRA and contribute the maximum on a monthly basis. If you start saving for your retirement now, you will probably retire a millionaire.
5c. When you have your emergency fund in place, start saving for your next car. Only buy cars, or other things that depreciate, with cash. Save up for a nicer car. That way you get the interest instead of paying the interest.
You can do it and it isn't as hard as you think. Just follow the planWhat are some legitimate debt consolidation in fl. laid off work and trying to figure out bills?
Need money for bills?
I suggest you to try project payday, simply because you don't need any money up front and you can start making money within minutes. I average around 2,500 dollars every month with it. Check it out at http://www.safeinvestingsite.com/cgi-bin/proanalyzer/p.cgi/pr

What can I use to shine my figure skates?
I recently whitened my figure skates with a shoe whitner but they are now dull. they look nice and clean but are not shiny. What can I use to make them more shiny? I was thinking baby oil, but i'm not sure. Any suggestions? What can I use to shine my figure skates?
You can get clear wax, if you apply it and then use a hot spoon to rub it in, then buff it with a normal shoe shine cloth, that should work, not sure if the whitener will mess up the effect though, but worth a try.

If you live on the fifth floor of an apartment, can an outdoor cat figure out how to get back home?
I have a cat that is outdoor/indoor and I am moving to an apartment where I am on the 5th floor. You can get to my apartment by outdoor stairs, but I am wondering if this is too confusing/too much work for a cat. Anybody have any experience with this? Does it work? If so, how do I break her in to having to go up several stairs to get to me?If you live on the fifth floor of an apartment, can an outdoor cat figure out how to get back home?
Yes, when cats get used to the setup and layout of the building, they know how to come back but there are more important things to worry about by leaving your cat outside. Someone might really like your cat and kidnap it or adopt your cat without knowing who owns it. Or you might have some cruel person collect your cat outside and sell it to companies that do animal experiments. There are people like that. So I would recommend if you make your cat an outdoor cat to take the cat to the vet, so they can have a microchip implanted in them. They do this in california so they can track the animals in case they get lost .If you live on the fifth floor of an apartment, can an outdoor cat figure out how to get back home?
Stranger things have happened!
Cats do *not* like moving. You need to keep them in for at least several weeks after you move, or they are likely to return to their old homes. Once your cat has adjusted to the move, and understands that this is now where she lives, she should be able to handle outside stairs. Just let her out, and she'll find her own way.
However, ilovedolphins is entirely right. There are very good reasons for keeping a cat indoors, or taking them out on a harness and leash only. If you look at the statistics, outdoor cats live a much shorter time than indoor cats on average.
Leave her inside for a week or so until she gets used to the new surroundings and new smells. She'll find her way back to you. They are ingenious creatures.
yes, they can find their way home
I would make her an indoor cat at that point for her protection.
I've had cats for years and I've moved with a number of them. I'm probably going to tell you more than you want to know, but I would worry if I felt I left you ill informed.
First off, cats aren't going to get themselves lost. They have excellent directional instincts. They wander a little a time, and know how to get back to where they started. HOWEVER, kitties totally freak out during moves and have to be handled specially. Don't let her ouside the day of the move....all the strange activity and loud noise will surely scare her and she may run into hiding somewhere. We put ours in a shut bathroom with their food/water/litter box while the move was going on and only let them out after the movers had gone. Then we put them into their cat carriers and moved them last. Since your kitty has been used to the outside at your old house, she has directional instincts back to your old house. Make SURE you DON'T let her oustside of your new place AT ALL for at least 3 weeks. She has to get very used to the new place or she may try to run back to your old place. It takes cats longer than it does for us, but once she gets used to the new place as ';home';, she won't have any problems roaming and getting back. When you finally start letting her outside again, let her out without her having been fed. She won't have time to get so far before she gets hungry and comes home.
I really hate that you have to let her out at all though. It's a really dangerous world out there for littlie kitties, especially in the city and apartment complexes. There are too many cars diriving through, and too many dogs roaming around. If you can, I would recommend you make her an indoor kitty.
I wouldn't risk it....better keep her inside.

Is it wrong to want a father figure as a boyfriend?
I want a man who's older-someone who can keep me safe. I need to feel safe with someone.
Is this not what a relationship is supposed to be?Is it wrong to want a father figure as a boyfriend?
yes.
it is wrong. Is it wrong to want a father figure as a boyfriend?
no its not,but bare in mind...the guy u are looking for has to respecte u first then the feeling of being safe is a mutuale part in a relationship, yes i am older then my girlfriend and the way i talk and listen to her is a part of being secur and she feels safe, yes this is what a relationship is supposed to be 100%....if your men respectes u and pays attention to u all the time its a good sign to know where u are headed!...
Well...as women we like for a man to make us feel safe and protected. On the other hand the father figure is throwing me off. Just look at the man as a strong aggressive type and allow yourself to be the nurturing sensitive type and it will work out naturally...but just allow him to be the man.
If you're looking for someone who is older and will keep you safe then you aren't really looking for a father figure, you're looking for a mature strong man. And I totally agree, that is exactly what I want.
Nothing wrong to feel that way. Most girls feel the same.
It is one of the ways a relationship may build and last, but not necessarily the only way.
Well its whatever you want and are happy with, try it and if you like it than that's great, but if not than try something different. Like I said though its whatever you like not what anyone else thinks or likes.
its right to feel safe but what if his not looking for a daughter figure girlfriend.
I think it is fine what you're looking for. Nothing wrong with that.
Sure it is.

How can I maintain my weight and figure on vacation?
I just got back from a week long vacation with some friends and gained five pounds! The thing is, I'm about to go on another week long vacation with my family and I don't want the same thing to happen again. We do a lot of eating out, usually for breakfast and dinner. I also have a very large sweet tooth which doesn't help matters. Last summer, I lost 23 pounds, but since then I've gained 15 of it back. All suggestions, tips, etc. are appreciated! Thanks! How can I maintain my weight and figure on vacation?
Limit yourself on the food (obviously!).
When you eat out, the 'knee-jerk' reaction is not to eat healthy...but there's no reason why you can't. Perhaps you tell yourself that, since you are on vacation, your nutrition and health should take a 'backseat'. This attitude is not very logical, and not very healthy.
After all, you wouldn't take up smoking just because you are on vacation, would you? Or a cocaine habit? So....why would you let your vacation dictate your eating habits? How can I maintain my weight and figure on vacation?

I was just wondering how can I figure out if my catalytic converter is stopped up?
I dont want to have to take it to some just to have them tell me it is. It's not giving off that bad smell like alot of stopped up catalytic converters do, but my car is a 1983 Cutlass Supreme and It has never been changed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.I was just wondering how can I figure out if my catalytic converter is stopped up?
the easiest way to figure this one out is to tap on it, sort of like beating on somebodys door when they wont answer, with your hand or a hammer. the sound should be almost hollow for a new converter, and dull, heavy for a plugged converter. you can usually feel that it is plugged up when you hit it with your hand, it will feel heavy. hope this helps p.s. if it is original to your 83 i would bet my next paycheck it is plugged upI was just wondering how can I figure out if my catalytic converter is stopped up?
take it off and get the rust out , if you cant start your car at night and see if it gets real hot mine was glowing redhot ...it was clogged
If your car has 100K or more it would be a good idea to chang eit, especially if you have used high grade gas all the time. I changed out one on my F-150 and it weighed 50 pounds... it was 90% clogged. Get a universal highflow off of ebay for like $50
if it ain't broke -- don't fix it .... if your ride is going like okay then don't worry and be happy that you are not having to buy expensive new parts If you want to know for sure then you must go to a muffler shop and get the car tested for good/bad cat. converter ..
if its stopped up then it will glow red and make your floorboard sweat and also you will lose power.

My eyes can't seem to do it... and my temples hurt after trying.. what show i do?? any tips? How do I look at a stereo figure of a protein to see it in 3-D?
It's very difficult to explain as it tends to be one of those skills you either can or can't do.
I try focusing on a point past the back of the screen and then bring the focus point forward until the images overlap and I fully appreciate what you're saying about it giving you a headache.

How to find the sum of the measures of the interior angles of a figure?
Well, heres the question i need help on
Find the sum of the measures of the interior angles of the figure.
The figure is a 5 sided polygon.
Please explain how you did it! thankes
Oh and the choices i have are
either
-540
-1260
-900
-720How to find the sum of the measures of the interior angles of a figure?
you take 5 subtract 2 from it which gives you 3 multiply that by 180 which gives you 540 and thats the sum of the angles. How to find the sum of the measures of the interior angles of a figure?
Take any point inside the pentagon, and join it to each of the vertices, so making 5 triangles. The sum of the angles of one triangle is 180 degrees, so the sum of the angles of 5 triangles is is 5 x 180 = 900 degrees. But, you have included here the angle at the point inside the pentagon which is 360 degrees, so you have to subtract that from 900, to give:
900 - 360 = 540 degrees.
Hope this helps, Twiggy.
ya
I think it's 540 degrees
what nina said.
and it's really important that you remember this formula. they ask it on ALL of the standardized tests!
The formula is (n-2)180.
n=the number of sides the polygon has
it is 180(sides-2)
thatsa the eqation i think

What is a simple mathematical equation to figure out how big a beam must be for supporting a one story house?
The house is a one story building, 20 feet by 20 feet in Southern Ontario. The beam is in the middle of the structure. It must support a floor, a few walls and the normal appliances, toillets, tube etc. Is there a simple calculation for this information? What is a simple mathematical equation to figure out how big a beam must be for supporting a one story house?
U need to look at the local building code for your states required code for structural support/load barring construction... Most states building departments have a on line code book that can be referenced for the info... Some states require steel some wood, and some states have snow and some don't, so there are many variables that may need to be considered other then a generic equation for load barring structures... Good luck! What is a simple mathematical equation to figure out how big a beam must be for supporting a one story house?
if it is a concrete structure the beam may be Concrete. If it is a composite structure it may be either steel or concrete. The beam size and span will depend on the structural layout and loading. Hence first thing is to have a look at on the architectural layout and then to make necessary beams columns layout. There are thumb rules to decide the size of the beam. for example you can take depth of the beam as 1/26th of span as a trial and widely used width is 225. But we have to calculate steel reinforcement area based on End and Mid Bending moment values. This does not tell whole story of design of a concrete beam. You have to see local code of practice. ACI 318 or BS 8110 or else.( in steel beam scenario it is BS 5950 or other steel code)
not sure about exact eqaution, but google the stress equation for engineering. Measrues physical stress on structures
you need to first understand where the beam must be placed, and how much load the walls will be lifting themselves. it's first year engineering statics.va loan

What's the age limit for someone to compete in the Winter Olympics -specifically figure skating?
I know you have to be at least 16, but I've heard that you also can't be any older than 24 to compete in ladies figure skating in the WInter Olympics. Is that true? You have to turn sixteen within the year the Olympics are held. I don't think there is an age too old, it's just that many people lose their skills the older they get. What's the age limit for someone to compete in the Winter Olympics -specifically figure skating?
Follow the Chinese and go to olympics underaged lol

What is a job I can do in finanace/economics that will make a six figure salary?
I am about to earn my masters degree in finance. What is a job that I can do which pays a six figure salary? What is a job I can do in finanace/economics that will make a six figure salary?
embezzler - just don't get caught! What is a job I can do in finanace/economics that will make a six figure salary?
Well, first of all, you are gonna have to crawl before you walk. Even though 6 figure salaries are very good and even great, you must take small steps b4 leaping. Look at the current job market. Start now in composing a killer resume and a mind-blowing cover letter. Talk with your advisor for some insight, view careerbuilder and monster.com for job outlook. Start now and prepare, you don't have long until you graduate.
A Master's in finance should get you pretty far. Why not try Financial Advising? This would require some sales of course, but it has the potential for a 6 figure salary. If you were hired and got your Series 7 license, you would be even more valuable. I would personally vote against Monster, Careerbuilder. The best resource you have is people you know. Every person in theory knows about 250 people. Let them know you are looking for a job.
If you are almost finished with that Masters, you should have a pretty good idea where the money is. But, if you're still stumped, ask your student advisor.
The salary/remuneration for a particular job is the market value for a particular profession and designation at the city/town where the office is located. Job postings at websites like Monster, Yahoo HotJobs and Careerbuilder carry information about salaries. The Govt Dept of Labor, (www.bls.gov) Bureau of statistics has information about median salaries for different professions and details of additional compensation offered. Other online resources are salary.com and payscale. Your salary will also depend on your educational qualification and how you handle your career. More details and links to relevant websites available at http://tinyurl.com/rndxq
If you want to have a chance to earn a 6 figure salary, I suggest going to the hospital for your coughing problem.
CFO. Or embezzler like the other person suggested, hehe. But seriously, don't get caught.

What to where for a curvy hourglass figure?
I am 5'4-5'', 165 lbs, and I have an hourglass figure. Measurements are: Bust: 43 inches, Waist: 34 inches, Waist: 42 inches. Anyone have an idea what I could wear to flatter my figure? What to where for a curvy hourglass figure?
A babydoll style blouse that comes in directly under the bust and flares out slightly, trouser jeans, high-waisted skirts and pants, tops paired with a thick belt at the waist, button-up shirts that are fitted, fitted jackets,
Be wary of skinny flare jeans (they make you look heavier), tight shirts, tunics (try them on-not all will be flattering on you), shapeless dresses and shirts, low-rise pants/jeans/skirts/shorts (give you muffin-top and they're generally unflattering), leggings paired with oversized tops (if you're curvy, you need to emphasize the tiny part of your waist to appear shapely instead of heavy and oversized shirts cover that up--this look is the exact opposite of what you should look for)What to where for a curvy hourglass figure?
What a coincidence...just a minute ago there was another clothing question for the hourglass figure.
Here are a couple of websites that give some great suggestions, along with reasons why! You should be able to get some good ideas there!

What is the equation or formula to figure out when greenhouse gases reduce?
How are carbons and gases measured? How do we know exactly when going green will have actually slowed global warming. I still don't know how global warming can be turned around my man!!!! I just want be convinced scientifically!!What is the equation or formula to figure out when greenhouse gases reduce?
It is called a percentage equation. Take measurement of carbon dioxide and divide it by the total measurement of gases to get the percentage of carbon dioxide in the air.
I believe the measurements are done with a gas chromatograph, although I am not sure. Perhaps if you asked this question in the Chemistry section of Yahoo! Answers, someone who is familiar with this technique could tell you.
I am not going to explain how greenhouse gases keep our planet warm, or how excessive greenhouse gases contribute to global warming; there is a forum in the Science section of Yahoo! Answers that deals specifically with Global Warming.
We will know ';exactly when going green will have actually slowed global warming'; when climate scientists tell us it has slowed global warming. I am sorry, but the role of Science is no to go around till everyone is ';convinced scientifically!!'; Science is imprecise, and a ';70% chance that global warming has slowed'; might be the best that Science can do.va loan

For an VFL match , the lowest attendance is 2000 at Hawthorn Vs. Melbourne at Glenferrie Oval in 1941.
Collingwood Vs. Hawthorn in 1942 at Victoria Park also had 2000 people at the venue. Don't know about AFL though.
Edit- Thanks aflumpire I was confused.
nah i dont reckon that at all, Carlton still have a huge fan base
2000 (approx) so I have been told.
I may go as I'm sure I'll see quite a few of my kinfolk at this game!

Can you be descended from a historical figure?
This is a genealogy question that I'm asking to all of you, if it's possible that you're an ancestor of a historical figure like Genghis Khan or Thomas Jefferson. As a Filipino, I could be descended from local tribes and Spanish conquistadors, but what about a certain historical leader? What should I do to find any of my possible famous ancestors?
Plus, can you be descended from a historical figure? Can you be descended from a historical figure?
I think my ancestors were just slackers. Can you be descended from a historical figure?
my husband is indeed related to Daniel Boone and verified thru DNA testing as well as a cousin painstaking documention over many years, so yes, it is possible.
If an historical figure had descendents, of course you can be descended from them. George Washington had no children, so anyone claiming descent from him is a phony. But Genghis Khan is said to have fathered hundreds of children, and half the human race may be his descendents. The further back in time, the more descendents, but also it gets harder to prove when you go back more than a couple centuries.
A cousin of my 4X great grandfather married a cousin of Martha Washington. I have a common ancestor with George Bush, and another with astronaut Alan Shepherd and two other American Presidents.
it is possible that one of my ancestors signed the declaration of Independence
TOTALLY I KNOW SOMEONE WHO IS RELATED TO OPRAH AND ELVIS
Of course, a person can be descended from anyone who had children ....
there is a universal DNA program you can join for a few $$. You send them a swab and they let you know what your heritage is.
Statistically speaking, odds are that most Europeans are descended from Charlemagne, and Edward III is the ancestor of most everyone of English descent.
Indeed, most everyone alive today descends from ';aristocracy'; at a least some point in time. During the fourteenth century, at least in Europe and the Middle East, the Black Death killed a large part of the urban poor and the serfs tied to the land while those who could afford to do so escaped to a country estate.
I really am an 8th cousin twice removed of Elizabeth II (through the Queen Mum) as well as a 9th cousin of both Bill Clinton and George W. Bush (according to Ancestry.com). No, I personally don't know anybody famous.
Sure, of course you could! Why not? You could be a descendant or your ancestors could also be related by marriage to a famous person. I'm related (via marriages, not directly) to George Washington.
If you want to trace your ancestry, you have to start from yourself and work backwards as far as you can. It would be impossible to research all the descendants a famous person that you ';think'; you might be related to -- well, not impossible, but you would probably have to research 1000 of them before you would find one!
For advice on starting your family history, see ';How do I get started?'; at familysearch.org.
Yeah, but don't forget for every famous somebody there were 999 ordinary nobodies- labourers, tradesmen, washerwomen etc.... so probability says you are much more likely to be descended from them ( I know I am).
First, everyone who has lived is ';historical';.
Second, if you go back 10 generations, in roughly 200 years, you have over 1000 grandparents. Let's count it out. 2 parents, 4 grandparents, 8 great grandparents, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024 gggggggggparents. It is not only likely that each of us is related to nobility or royalty of some sort, it's virtually impossible to avoid it. Why? Because the world's population was so much smaller, and in another 10 generations you have a geometric increase in the number. Let's count it out... 1024, 2048, 4096, 8192, 16384, 32768, 65536, 131072, 262144, 524288 gggggggggggggggggggparents.
You can quickly see this only takes you back (using 20 years as the average generational length over time) roughly 400 years, yet you now have over a half million grandparents. Let's count out another 200 years - taking us back to 100 years before Christopher Columbus naval voyage, circa 1400 AD. You would now count 1,048,576 %26gt; 2,097,152 %26gt; 4,194,304 %26gt; 8,388,608 %26gt; 16,777,216 %26gt; 33,554,432 %26gt; 67,108,864 %26gt; 134,217,738 %26gt; 268,435,468 %26gt; 536,870,918.
So after 30 generations, and approximately 600 years, we all have over 536 MILLION separate grandparents/grandparent occurrences. I say occurrences because you quickly realize that it doesn't take long for this formula, going back in actual history, to actual people, for the number of grandparents to exceed the world's population. Meaning, at one point you'll have the same persons as individual grandparent more than one time. The likelihood of any of us being related to a given person in history increases with every generation we go back, because our number of ancestors increases each generation we go back, while the world's population is smaller and smaller. We are all a lot more diverse in origins, and a lot more closely related than we might imagine. I'm very proud of my father's heredity family name, and my patriarchal ancestors have lived in the same place in Europe for almost 1000 years, and I have the documentation to prove it. Yet, in reality, to honor them only is foolhardy. There are millions of others I trace back to who were every bit as important, or I wouldn't be here. Perhaps that is why the apostle tells us in scripture to not occupy our time with worthless geneolagies, or perhaps it's because there were so many ';contrived'; geneolagies during that time. Either way, it's important to know we are truly our brother's keeper - virtually everywhere we look! That said, never forget the most important relationship we can have - in this life or the next - is a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father through his Son, Jesus. Blessings on you and all your relations!

University students ? How do you prepare and figure what job you want ?
University students ? How do you prepare and figure what job you want ?University students ? How do you prepare and figure what job you want ?
People change their minds along the way as they get to know themselves better and experience life more, so don't be too hard on yourself if you don't know exactly what you want to do. I don't think few really do.
They stress this in high school so much these days that kids feel like they have to have it all figured out right away; well you don't. This is exploration time, so you do have to pay attention and do your homework to figure it what's the best road for you, and become more self-aware.
I suggest you head in the direction of something you're good at, and something you think you'll enjoy learning more about, and narrow it down from there.
Ask questions of everyone you meet- ask if they like their jobs, do they make a decent living, etc. Don''t be too discouraged when you hear many say they hate their jobs. Keep in mind it could be the person and not just the job.
I hear my son and so many of his friends asking the same question. Pay attention to your gut; if you stripped away how much money a job pays, and what other people want you to be, in time you can ask yourself what would you love doing every day?
Now you know you have to rule out sleeping all day or playing videos, right? ha.
Career counselors are great, and there are lots of tests-many online that are free-that help you to decide this. Take your time and PAY attention to what makes you happy; even little things.
Look at adults around you and see if they seem happy and why or why not. Do they seem overly stressed or never get to spend time with their family?
Look for a person who shares traits in common with you and see what they are doing and if it's working. Are they high energy or not, are they more creative than business oriented, in the business of helping people or do they work more isolated, work indoors or out, etc.
Lastly, if you find a general area that you want to explore more, find a mentor in that field; someone experienced but someone with a POSITIVE attitude that can teach you and advise you.
The US Dept. of Labor has a great yearly guide to what jobs are growing, which are in decline, what the earnings are, etc. It's also on their website.
Good luck to you. You're smart to be asking this.Too many of us adults find out much too late that what we worked hard toward is not something we enjoy. Often we just didn't know enough about it or about ourselves.
* One of the keys to happiness is to be able to get up every day and do something you love. That effects everyone else in your life, and your health; everything. If you can work for yourself, I think all the better!
God bless.
University students ? How do you prepare and figure what job you want ?
Ha! I've been in college for 9+ years, and still don't really know what I want to be if/when I grow up. I'm really thinking ';if'; right now. . . .
I've always just gone after degrees that I thought sounded useful and remotely fun, and that seems to get me somewhere I'd like to be.
What do you like? What do you not like? You pick something that you think will fit the answers to those questions, and then you hope it's right. If not, you become one of the tons of people every year who change their plans mid-stream when they learn enough about the topic to know that's definitely not where they want to go. It's only a few years at most that we're talking about to get set back if you change your mind, not like the rest of your working life that you'll be using this education. Some people don't even figure out what they want until they've been working for a few years. . . and then they either decide to deal with it or go back to school for another type of job.
It's all a big guessing game, really.
Asking yourself what you want to do and go for it!

How would you describe a normal body figure?
If it can be described, please give me your explanation. How would you describe a normal body figure?
Not obese
Not overweight
Not underweight
Your weight should be right for your height
How would you describe a normal body figure?
Everyone is different, as you know, but here are some ';average'; body figures for adults. I tried to do a search for ';average teenage body'; but it came up with so many different results. I got pictures of skinny girls, healthy girls, and fat girls.
Check these out:

There's really no such thing as a ';normal'; figure. There's average, and I would consider that to be different for each body shape. Weight and body fat % differs between people who are tall, short, or have different body shapes such as apple, pear, etc.
People come in all different shapes and sizes and it is perfectly natural and healthy. Try to not look at celebrities as examples, they tend to be far too skinny, not always. And the Hollywood idea of what a body should look like in NO WAY reflects reality.
Anybody with 12% body fat or less.
Um, there isn't such thing as a ';normal'; figure.

Can I have a bumblebee goby and figure eight puffer tank?
I want to set up a 5 to 10 gallon brackish tank with bumblebee gobies and figure eight puffer(s). Can they share a tank this size? And if so, how many of each? Can I have a bumblebee goby and figure eight puffer tank?
Please see below for figure 8 compatibility from badmanstropicalfish.com
I have found the Figure Eights to be fairly easy to care for. They are generally not picky eaters, consuming most anything you drop in the tank. They are extremely adaptable to rapid changes in salinity, and it appears that they do very well in full marine conditions if properly acclimated. Although I wouldn't go as far as to say Figure Eights are Community fish, they are docile enough to have tank mates in most cases. I have kept my Figure Eights with other Puffers, including Green Congos, Ceylons, a South American and other Figure Eights. There were a few instances of the Figure Eights chasing one another, but that is common in most any species of fish. There was very little aggression between them and members of other species. I also have kept Bumble Bee Gobies, Cory Cats, Flying Foxes, Guppies, Mollies, Bettas and Jumbo Neons with my Figure Eights and other Puffers. I only lost one Goby and I think Ox, my S. American, ate him.
Minimum tank size for figure 8 tank is 30 gallons though. They range in size from 4 - 8';. For a 5';, 30 gallons is recommended. They aren't bad as juvies, but need to be kept as one single puffer once adult.
The gobies need about a 16'; across tank, 5 - 10 gallons will suffice. They should be housed with peaceful brackish fish. Can I have a bumblebee goby and figure eight puffer tank?

Has anyone tried the pendant method to figure out the babies gender?
Did it come out to be true? Let me know, thanks.Has anyone tried the pendant method to figure out the babies gender?
We tried it with our wedding rings tied to a piece of string. When it went in a line, it was a boy, and when it went in circles, it was a girl. It worked for both myself and my sister on all of our babies! I got two girls (and one boy we lost), and my sis got three girls in a row, and then one absolutely shocking boy (the only boy in the whole family)! I have also done the Chinese gender chart. I tested it out with my extended family, it was wrong once, and right more than thirty times! I a looking for some new ones with our next babies, I love old wives tales!Has anyone tried the pendant method to figure out the babies gender?
We did the wedding ring trick on my cousin.
The prediction was for a girl, but she had a boy.
yes i did 3 times never worked once, i did it jst for fun.
what? no. sonograms work just fine
I did - it worked for all 3 of mine - it could however just be because there is a 50 /50 chance, but it's fun to do and to see if it's right.
I havnt tried it, but the sis in law did. By that method it should have been a girl, but at her 20 u/s check, they saw testicles and a penis between two lil legs. :)
no havent tried that..but sonograms work...
theres an old wives tell that says if you carry high its a girl-low its a boy..
that has been true for me and 1 of my friends so far.
No I haven't I just waited for the ultrasound
i tried that and it was true but i put my wedding ring on th end of the string. there are cute lil test u can do online ill give u the link

try it its fun!
i did, it told me i was having a boy...and that's what i had...then again it has a 50/50 chance of being right.
i tried it again as I'm 17 weeks pregnant, I've tried a couple times and every time i try it, it comes out with a different out come. so i have no idea.
I'm confused about it because i've heard opposites for the results. For example, I read online %26amp; my mom's friend said that if it goes in circles it's a boy. But then I've heard if it goes in circles it's a girl.. I dont' know what to believe. Mine went in circles %26amp; I still won't know what it is until Feb 11.

Who do you think will win US Figure Skating Nationals this year?
I think Johnny Weir might win, but there's so many good and new skaters coming up. I know its kind of far away, but the qualifying season is just around the corner.Who do you think will win US Figure Skating Nationals this year?
elvis stoyko. he has been training to come back, drinking tons of minute maid orange juice, and shaving speed lines in one of his eyebrows to help him spin faster. also he switched his hair perm to tighter curls, for speed.Who do you think will win US Figure Skating Nationals this year?
Sasha Cohen.
I think Jeremy or Johnny will win in men's, and Mirai or Caroline in womens, and then of Meryl + Charlie for dancing, and Amanda + Mark in pairs.

How do I make film with the figure in a spotlight?
I want to make a film with the figure in a spotlight similar to pop videos and other performance stage type scene. Does anyone know I can do this or fake itHow do I make film with the figure in a spotlight?
There is a website called bfx.com or something like that, they show the episodes on Veoh.com. Anyway, the host tells people cheap ways to have expensive looking effects in their home movies. One episode deals with this point. I think he used a flashlight and a coat hanger.
