i was just wondering how I can find out all the default shortcut keys like (ctrl + s = save) that exist on a computer.How do you figure out all the default shortcut keys that exist on your computer?

Default shortcuts are actually determined by individual programs for the most part. For example, many Windows programs use ctrl+w to close a window and/or exit; others use alt+f4; some use both. Most Windows programs use ctrl+s to save; Emacs uses ctrl+x, ctrl+s to save; vim uses :w





Check an individual programs help files and documentation to see if it has a list of default shortcuts.





Failing that you can search online by typing the name of the program plus the word ';shortcuts'; into a search engine. (i.e. ';Windows XP shortcuts';, ';Adobe photoshop shortcuts';, ';Open office shortcuts';, etc.)
