How do I figure out the right size saddle for my sorrel tobiano?

i recently purchased a 4yr old sorrel tobiano and i have had a couple people tell me about the saddle fitting but i would like another opinion. How do I figure out the right size saddle for my sorrel tobiano?
A well fitting saddle is extremely important, many don't realize just HOW important. I've had many horses over the years come to me with serious issues(bucking, rearing, running away, refusing to go), and it was simply a matter of getting them into a saddle that fit properly and wasn't causing them pain.

The best thing to do is to have a saddle fitter fit your horse. Call your local tack shop, they are likely to know a professional saddle fitter.

Wintec makes a measuring device that is useful and inexpensive and easy to use. That's a good way to do it yourself, but won't be nearly as accurate as someone trained to fit a saddle correctly.

Please do remember though that even though a saddle may have been correctly fitted, if your horse gains or loses weight, or changes in his muscling, the saddle may need to be refitted. Just like our clothes, what fits in the winter may not fit in the summer. I like Wintec saddles because you do have the option of changing gullets if your horse's body changes. I have had some performance horses who would need their gullets changed three or four times a year!

What breed is your horse? You've told us his color, but not his breed. But even knowing his breed, there are great differences in saddling needs between individual horses.
